: INFORMATION FOR FAMILIES
We work alongside families to help our learners feel confident and empowered in their choice of alternative provision. Here you'll find everything you need to know to support a young person learning with us and our friendly team are always on hand to answer any questions along the way.
We understand that transitions to a new setting may feel daunting and we work closely with prospective learners, and their families, to make this part of the journey as easy as possible. Prior to starting with our alternative provision, prospective learners may choose to attend activity sessions within our youth hub to help familiarise themselves with the staff team, venue and build confidence around other learners. If a young person has struggled with EBSA or does not feel ready to come into our setting, we can also offer 1:1 support at home until they feel ready to introduce hub-based learning.
Learners studying at our alternative provision have the opportunity to build their own timetable, shaping it around their interests and allowing them to explore our curriculum with genuine curiosity. Placements are typically capped at 15 hours per week and by the end of the experience, young people will be able to carry nationally recognised qualifications, work experience and accredited vocational training to their next destination.
