RELAXED LEARNING IN THE HEART OF NOTTINGHAMSHIRE
Achievement Unlocked AP is integrated into our Mansfield youth hub which was designed alongside our young people in 2025. The result is an accessible venue which feels authentic, inclusive and relaxed for the young people we support. Our teaching rooms offer plenty of space to move around and have breakout sofa areas within them as well as a sensory room just off the main classrooms for emotional regulation. A fully equipped on-site kitchen also provides an additional space for vocational learning and life skills development.
At the youth hub, we also host a whole range of daily activities to develop transferable skills, improve mental health and encourage social inclusion. The hub lounge is equipped with gaming consoles/PCs, pool tables, comfortable seating areas, board games, Lego, books and more. Upstairs we have a dedicated employability lounge packed with careers resources and confidential meeting rooms dotted across the site provide quiet spaces for mentoring appointments and transitional 1:1 support.

ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT
The Hub on Yorke Street is split across two floors with most youth facing services accessible via the ground floor and IAF staff offices located upstairs. The site is equipped with accessible and gender neutral toilets, shower facilities and baby changing table. Young people accessing the hub can make full use of their own kitchen area to make tea/coffee and access free basic food supplies such as breakfast cereals, bread, squash, teas and coffee etc. Other snacks may be purchased from our tuck shop on-site - please speak to reception.
Many of our service users have learning difficulties and poor mental health so there are a range of high and low sensory spaces and breakout areas across the site. Sensory aids such as fidget toys and ear defenders are also readily available and free to access. We are also proud to have a registered Pets as Therapy dog, Boomer, on site to help those struggling with anxiety.
Please note, we are currently applying for funding to install a lift within the youth hub which will connect areas of the venue for wheelchair use. Visitors should also be aware that for the safety and security of our young people and staff, some doors across the site are accessible via key card only. If you have not visited the site before, please press the intercom on the main door and a member of the team will assist you.
