: AN ETHICAL ALTERNATIVE PROVISION FOR POST 16 LEARNERS

The creation of IAF's post-16 alternative provision follows over 15 years of front-line support, during which time we have worked with many SEND young people and their families to help them boost confidence, self-esteem and future prospects. As a team of professional educators and youth mentors, we've drawn on this experience to develop a new offering for Nottinghamshire; an ethically-driven, community-based  intervention designed for those whose level of need falls between that of a mainstream college and a specialist school.

 

When the Inspire and Achieve Foundation started back 2009, we made a commitment to support young people; to stand by their side, from barrier to breakthrough, to inspire them and empower them to achieve their best. That mission statement is as important today as it was back then and in 2025, we created a purpose-built space for re-engaging young people with their learning and helping them to keep pace with their peers. In our setting, no one gets left behind because we know that every young person has something amazing to offer - they just need to be met with understanding, compassion and a team who are on their side.​​​
